Alton, IL Mar. 25, 2010
SSPM, L.P. companies (SSPM Bathurst, L.P., SSPM Pontiac, L.P. and SSPM New Richmond, L.P.), today announced that a new website is available for those seeking employment in Canada with the company. Interested parties can submit an application and resume online at www.sspmjobs.com.
SSPM, L.P. (Sustainable Site Planning and Management) purchased three former Smurfit-Stone facilities in Bathurst, NB; Portage-Du-Fort, QC, and New Richmond, QC, and has intentions of restoring, redeveloping and reviving the closed/inactive industrial sites, thus creating jobs and revitalizing the local economy. The company focuses its redevelopment activities on technologies related to energy generation, alternative fuels, waste and energy conversion. These redevelopment activities will create opportunities for local businesses and individuals specializing in construction, renovation and repair.
According to Ray Stillwell, president of SSPM L.P., “Each of the SSPM properties are in the early stages of redevelopment so specific job opportunities are not yet listed on the website. We do, however, encourage anyone interested in employment to go ahead and submit their application now for consideration. We hope our projects facilitate future growth in the regions where we own properties, and want to do our part to restore employment and provide solid work opportunities for area residents.”
