PORTAGE DU FORT, QC, Nov. 22, 2011. . .Green Investment Group, Inc. (GIGI), and its SSPM Affiliates, today announced engineering firm CIMA+ will rent office space at the Pontiac Industrial Regional Park in Portage du Fort, Quebec. CIMA+, the only engineering company in the Pontiac, is ready to move in to its new space immediately, demonstrating its confidence and pride to serve the people and the region.
As part of the agreement, CIMA+ will first occupy 250 square feet within the administration building on site at the Park, a space that will accommodate CIMA+ employees when they welcome their customers. As CIMA+ increases its business, the space will expand to accommodate its growth. CIMA+ is a multidisciplinary firm active in the fields of engineering, project management and new technologies. The company has been working in the Pontiac for decades and has been instrumental in helping every municipality plan, manage and renew their infrastructures.
Gerry Philippe, vice president of GIGI’s Canadian Operations states, “We are pleased to have CIMA+ join our growing list of tenants at the Pontiac Industrial Regional Park. The company is a great asset to the businesses and municipalities in the region. GIGI frequently utilizes CIMA+ for our own business and we’ve found the company to be an invaluable part of enabling us to expand this site, and our others, in such successful measure.”
To date, GIGI’s redevelopment efforts at the site have resulted in more than 200 new jobs for the region. With eleven letters of intent in hand from various companies interested in locating on site, GIGI anticipates in the next six months recovering nearly all of the jobs lost when the plant closed its doors in October 2008.
GIGI recently declared the Pontiac Industrial Regional Park its official Canadian headquarters, a move representing the company’s long-term commitment to redeveloping the site and bringing jobs to the region.
