GREEN INVESTMENT GROUP AND AFFILIATE SETTLES WITH VANTEK, INC.

MISSOULA, MONT., NOV. 21, 2012. . .In the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, at Tacoma, Case number 3:11-cv-05479-RBL, Green Investment Group, Inc. (“GIGI”) and its affiliate M2Green Redevelopment, LLC announced that VanTek, Inc. settled on claims of civil contempt.

Green Investment Group filed a motion for sanctions claiming civil contempt by VanTek, Inc. and VanTek, Inc. president Gordon Cassie to recover damages incurred by Green Investment Group and its efforts to redevelop a former pulp and paper mill in Missoula, Mont. Green Investment Group’s claims are based on comments made by VanTek, Inc. president Gordon Cassie to a reporter disclosing confidential information it contends was made in violation of the Court’s order. Cassie spoke to the reporter shortly after dismissing with prejudice all claims pled against Green Investment Group, Inc. and its affiliates in a former lawsuit, United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, at Tacoma, Washington, Case No., 3:11-cv-5479-RBL.

In a retraction statement Cassie said, “I regret making any statements or any harm that I may have caused.”

According to Ray Stillwell, president of Green Investment Group, Inc., “We are pleased to have settled with VanTek, Inc., in an attempt to undo any potential damage that may have been done to our reputation in the Missoula, Montana region. Redeveloping an industrial site in this bleak economy is challenging enough. Add to it mishandled and misinterpreted information communicated to members of the media, and it can add several steps to our progress to bring new jobs to the region.”

Green Investment Group, Inc. and its affiliates, purchase shattered industrial sites throughout North America and redevelop them with an effort to seek sustainable, energy-focused developments that provide jobs and opportunities to the local community. In addition to the site in Missoula, Mont., Green Investment Group owns sites in Alton, Ill., Carthage, Ind., Circleville, Ohio, Portage-du-fort, QB, New Richmond, QB and Bathurst, NB.
